She shuddered as the women spoke to her. She dropped her gaze and stared at the stream, upon closer expecting, the girl looked dirtied... She had scraps and cut on parts of her body. "Paid... to kill... demons?" She said slowly. She examined them and then finally took in their outfits... blue and white... the meteor designs on them. She swallowed deeply and then spoke in a sharp breaths, "H-Ha... Hakumei... Hakumei Seidei?" Her arms shook a bit. She knew she had to run now... get away from these two... but if they followed her... She looked up at them, "W-What does the Seidei want with me?" She said in a panicked voice, "P-please... I'll tell you whatever you want..."

Karasu sighed, and said, "We just want to know why you're here... What the gem is for... So on. Any thing else would be useful, and could possibly spare us your life." She glanced at Reizo, beginning to feel a little uneasy about this girl. Why was so so dirty looking? Had she no home? Just to be sure, Karasu rested her hand on the hilt of her katana.

'Isn't it obvious? I wanted to check on the crystal!' she wanted to say, but she was smarter then that, "I... I needed to check on the rock... It's important to me...." She saw the white haired women's hand fall on the hilt of the sword and she swallowed out of fear. "The gem... it magnifies chakra levels..." The hand on the sword... that was what scared her... not those dead purple eyes... eerie white hair... no, it was the hand on the katana. She could imagine the cold steel slitting her skin and cutting into her, spilling her life essence and leaving her in a pool of her blood.

Karasu moved a little closer. She gripped the hilt this time. Something wasn't quite right here.. "And.. What's the purpose of a gem that amplifies Chakra? What kind of person would need it? And surely, why would you of all people need to check on it in such a desolate place?" Karasu's eyes narrowed. She didn't like where this was going, and if the idea she was slowly developing was correct, she was going to need Reizo's help. "I want answers, or your head rolls."

"W-why me?" She echoed Karasu slowly, "My friend and I... we hide it here... he needs it... he protects me with it..." She looked at them and breathed in slowly, "B-but... No one protects me from him..." She whispered, "He's... special... he has an insane amount of chakra he's like a beast... but most of the time, he's very kind.. Please... Don't kill him... I don't want to be alone." She looked up slowly.

"Your... Friend?" Karasu looked at Reizo, and raised an eyebrow. "A little help here?" she thought to herself. Her gaze returned to the girl. "Tell me, is this friend of yours dangerous? when you say he is like a beast, do you mean he IS a beast?" Karasu's mind went back to when she fought both Mazuku and Onikaru Uchiha. She felt the ghost of a flame on her left arm, which was mostly hidden by her sleeve. If she was going to have to fight another beast, she was not going to lose. She was determined to get the location of this creature..

Reizo moved behind the girl and lifted his foot up and placed it on the girls back. She fell forward and he followed her and put his hand on her head as it dipped under the stream and he held her there. The girl's body struggled against the pressure that the man was applying on her. She began to swing her arms wildly, not quite knowing what to do with herself. This Panic. Reizo released her and pulled her up and smiled, pulling her up by a handful of her hair. "Let's stop being vague, girly."
She inhaled deeply as she was pulled out of the water. She had been between breathes and it had made that quite painful. She held her chest and heaved breathes of air, "I-I, I'm sorry!" She cried, returning to the tears and sobs, "He is dangerous.... 'A demon' as you guys said... he's got one of those inside of him..." She looked down, tears swelled past her eyes, she felt horrible, having just sold out her only friend, "Oh god... Please!" She turned and grabbed onto Reizo's pant leg and pulled on him, "Please don't do it! Hakumei Seidei! Don't go after him!"

Karasu shook her head. "Sorry, kid. It doesn't work that way. Biju and Jinchuriki are the scourge of the earth, and Hakumei Seidei is sworn to rid the planet of their existence. They are destructive, dangerous, and they don't belong here. Their reign has gone on long enough. Now.. Tell us where he is. I won't ask again." Karasu stared at the girl who was dripping from the stream. She was annoyed at the girl's theatrics, and wanted this to get over with so she could eat, and maybe nap.

The girl lowered her head in fear. She disagreed with what the women said, they were not dangerous, at least, he wasn't... The fear of the blade, however tugged at her brain until her will power gave out. "Fine..." She began, "I'll tell you..." She moved a bit, using Reizo as a stand and slowly pulling herself to her feet, never taking her eyes of Karasu, fear of, if she did, her life would end.
Reizo jumped at the opportunity and tore the jewel from the girls hand, meeting little resistance. He pulled it up in front of his face and examined it closely, "She's been around some CLEAN chakra..." He said, "This is an Azurite Crystal, they are formed around mass amounts of chakra. Usually, they are rough and grainy, this one though... it almost seems polished..." He moved stone in front of the sun and it glowed, vibrantly.

Karasu listened to Reizo as he explained the gem. She made sure to keep her eyes locked on the girl as she moved away. She could do this all day, scaring this unfortunate soul half to death, but she was getting rather hungry. "Well? What are you waiting for, then? Speak!" Karasu followed the girl with her eyes, and adjusted the blade along with her movements.
Kurai was in a wee bit of a shock. It wasn't that long ago that he saw Karasu smile, or at least try... And now here she was, as cold as a stone. He decided to join Reizo instead, and landed not too far from him.

She reached across her torso and held her arm, just above her elbow and looked down, staring at the white haired women's lower body, the only part that could be seen above the stream, "He's..." She paused, she didn't want to sell out her friend, even if he was more likely to hurt her then these... people. She heard something then, a bird? She wanted to look but refused to take her eyes off that women. "He's... through the forest... in a cave at the base of the mountains..." She stopped, not going to be any more specific unless they asked her... forced her to be.
Reizo saw the bird and showed him the stone, "You wanna see? You were pretty interested in it, weren't ya feathers?" He said with a grin, hinting towards spying through the birds eyes.

Karasu nodded as the girl spoke. She was being strangely cooperative, but she was glad deep down that no innocent blood needed to be spilt.. at least, none so far. She looked at Kurai, and noted where he was. She returned her gaze to the girl and said, "Very well.. Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about this creature?" Karasu looked at Reizo, wondering what he was talking to Kurai about.
If Kurai had a face, he was sure it would be blushing. He spoke into Reizo saying, "You mean to tell me you were looking through my eyes?! That gem was directly behind... Wait, that means.. Oh.. no.."

She swallowed deeply and looked at the women with an eerie lack of fear, but empty malice. "Yeah... a request." She moved her arms to her sides and spoke once more, "Try to take him outside before you... before you kill him. I still have to live there..."
Reizo grinned as he heard the bird, "I originally thought I'd talk to you while Kara was at the stream, then something caught my eyes." He moved his head, moving his eyes at the gem and looking at it.

Karasu replied to the girl, saying, "We'll try to grant said request, but mark me, girl, if you tell him we're coming..." Karasu held her blade forward, pointed at the girl's throat. She figured she didn't need to say any more in order to make her point clear. She did not want this child to be a hindrance to their battle. Her gaze darkened. "Now leave, if your business is done here. I have better things to do."
Kurai replied, "I.. I see.. So it wasn't.. Nevermind. Perhaps it is glad you spotted that gem.." Kurai ruffled his feathers, in response to Karasu's threat. He was listening to both of his friends.

The girl looked away from Karasu, she didn't want to leave... they were about to leave, why should she? She did what the women said though and turned on her heels and began to walk away. Her expression changed once Karasu couldn't see her... it was one of great sorrow and strife.
Reizo lifted an eye brow at the bird as it spoke and then clutched the stone as the girl began to move away, he didn't mind her. If she was doing something they didn't want her to do, Kara would have killed her, of this, he was pretty certain. Once the girl was out of site, he spoke at Kara, "So, learn anything useful Kara? I wasn't paying attention."

Karasu followed the girl with her eyes, and as soon as the girl was gone, she sheathed her sword, and answered Reizo, "Yes. The girl said it was located through the forest, in a cave at the base of the mountains.. She also requested that we take him outside to kill him.. They share the cave. I'm thinking this girl has... ties to this abomination." Karasu sighed. Her stomach growled, and she said, "Let's.. talk about this over dinner."
Kurai decided his conversation with Reizo was now over, and he flew to Karasu, landing on her shoulder. He nuzzled her with his head, and was relieved when Karasu itched his side with her fingers. Sometimes he wondered who was less human: Himself, or Karasu.

Reizo shrugged, "Fine. I already got it done." He turned around and shoved his hands in his pockets and began walking down the path he walked to get where they were. Eventually, they reached the camp. The size of the fire had fallen a bit, but it still lived on, crackling as it ate away the wood inside of it. Reizo walked over to the small blaze and picked up one of the two pieces of meat and offered it to the white haired women and grinned, knowing the answer to his next question, "Hungry?"

Karasu snatched the meat from Reizo, and devoured it before she could utter a "thank you." Their travels have taken their toll on her, she knew. They seldom stopped to rest, and after a little relaxation, she could see how she really wasn't made of steel after all. She held her stomach idly, fearing she'd eaten far too quickly. Kurai, who was still on her shoulder, shuddered as he watched her gulp down her meal. Karasu felt a little color flood into her cheeks, knowing she'd done something silly. "Uhh.. Excuse me.. I was just really hungry.."

As soon as she had snatched the meat, he bent his back a bit and grinned, watching her for a moment before he turned and fetched his own piece and and slowly began to eat it. He looked and saw the color in her cheeks and listened to her words. How surprising. When they first meet, she would have never even shown signs of a smile, and today, through the birds eyes, he seen her smile, now she was even blushing at doing something silly? Almost seemed out of character. He took another bite of his meat and then, "Don't worry about it."

Karasu took a deep breath, and quickly composed herself. She shook it off, and was now back to her usual, cold self. "So.." she began with a sigh, "That girl was... odd. I wonder what type of affiliation she has with that thing.. She seemed... fond.. of it, but then again, she seemed terrified. What do you think?" Karasu looked at Reizo, half regretting that she'd eaten all of her food so quickly. She dismissed the thought, it was back to business now.

Business time. It registered to Reizo as well and he thought for a moment. "A few weeks ago, a village a few kilometers from here was destroyed by unknown means. They are probably survivors. He brought his hand to his chin and racked his brain. The girl was hurt... by a human, recently..." He remembered the bruise he had seen on the back of her neck and nodded, "The beast could be related to the destruction of the village... but she stays with him because he's all she has left of her home." He looked at her, "What do you think?"

"Hmm..." Karasu thought for a moment, "That may very well be true.. Unless.. He could be holding her as a hostage?" Karasu shook her head and continued. "I just can't be sure. I'm not going to jump to conclusions unless I find out for myself.." She sighed, and sat down, leaning back on her arms. "I just hope she doesn't intend of getting in the way.. And I hope we can take this thing down.." She gave a sideways glance to both her scarred arm, and where Reizo's arm would be.

He shrugged and lifted his head and dropped his arm to his side. "Don't worry Kara... We will." He said as his one arm reached into his pocket and he pulled out the gem once again. He found a sharp corner on it and pressed palm against it until it ruptured his skin and created a light trickle of blood that moved down his wrist. The blood moved and formed a point before it hit the gem and began to drill into it. The blood pierced a hole through it entirely and then the blood fell down to ground, dying the ground a crimson. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a string and sewed it through the hole and then tied the end off. He put the string on his finger and looked at the gem and then at Karasu.
"Take This." He said slowly extending his arm towards her, "It'll come in handy.

Karasu took it, and examined it in her hands. She looped the string over her neck, and tucked the gem into her kimono. "Thank you, Reizo." She felt a little odd receiving a gift, but it was for her aid in battle. She felt the gem warm against her skin, most likely manifesting her Chakra. She looked at Reizo for a few seconds, then asked, "How long should we stay here before we plan a move?"

He could see the gem shining through her kimono. "Just like I thought." He smiled, "We'll wait till tomorrow afternoon. We'll eat good tonight and in the morning and then, we'll kill him." He grined and tilted his head. He was more confident then he had been recently, arrogance radiated off of him. "Allow me to explain the gem." He cleared his throat, "A Azurite Crystal is a chakra sensitive gem that is formed by a large amount of chakra. It will grow, change color, or shine, depending on the strength or type of chakra closest to it." He wanted to fold his arms and chewed his cheek as he realized her couldn't, "It shining right now means your the strongest its ever been around. He's fodder. He probably doesn't know how to use his power."

Karasu nodded, liking the idea of being well-rested. As Reizo spoke, she fished out the gem to see what he was talking about. Sure enough, it was glowing. Her eyes widened a little, and she looked at Reizo. She was pleasantly surprised at what he said about her chakra being the strongest the gem has seen. "I.. see.." She fell into the grass, still holding the gem up so she could look at it, "Then this thing won't know what's coming. This shouldn't be an issue.. Maybe we can actually kill one of these bastards."

"Without a doubt." He said, bringing himself to the ground slowly to compensate for his missing limb. He pulled up on knee and crossed his other leg through the arch it made and propped himself up with his arm. He looked at his partner, and then at the gem, "It will also help us locate other beasts. I think it'll be quite handy." He leaned his head back and let out a stifled, sharp yawn.
The sky was dyed a sherbert orange and was littered with thin, whimsical white clouds. Reizo inhaled sharply and then let out a sharp sigh. Annoying. He wished for some cloud cover... a glum out look and possible some rain.

Karasu looked at the gem after returning Reizo's gaze. she tucked it into her covering again, and looked at the orange sky for a few moments. She pulled put her arms over her head, folded them, and rested her head on it, white hair tumbling out of her face as she did so. "This will be a good chance to redeem ourselves after.." She trailed off, knowing she really didn't need to repeat what had happened. Her charred arm.. Reizo's missing one.. She let out a sigh, and closed her eyes.

"Redemption... won't even begin to describe it..." He grinned and lifted his one arm to the sky, blocking the sun with his palm and extended fingers before making a fist, hypothetically clutching the sun. "We will burn one arm... rip the other one off and then utterly humiliate him... Before were done, he'll beg us to deliver his soul to hell." He dropped his arm and moved it behind his head, using it as a pillow. "and If that girl interferes... we'll make her watch... and then leave her with nothing... not even a cave."

Karasu opened her lavender eyes, bright with determination (and mainly the sun). She watched Reizo make his fist, and she smiled to herself as she heard his words. "Hell will look like a mere swing set compared to what we will do. There shall be no mercy.." She sat up, and extended her scarred arm, sliding up the sleeve with her other. She stared at it saying, "There will be nothing left of him for that child to bury, burn, or cherish. She stood up, and stared towards the setting sun, a flmaing passion to kill the beast welling inside of her. She clenched her fists, unthinking.
