The fourth Onikage sat atop a ravine, looking down upon the rising sun. This country was known for its sunrises. It brought back memories; reviving the third Ketsukage. His grandfather. Even his late bride. He was so close to being back to Onigakure, So close to home. His purple hair hung idly over his eyes, causing the sunrise to appear even more splendid, in his eyes at least.
The memories of his son suddenly flooded his mind. He remembered when he was a child, usually with his uncle or playing with his favorite toy; a bouncy red ball. Then the Chunin exams, his sons time as a child had passed by so quickly. Then he left the village, as most Uchiha's did at a point in time. He hadn't worried about it, figured he was taking after his uncle.
Then his mind shifted to the future. He wondered how events would play out in the future. How his brother was, his grandfather, his sensei, his student. He couldn't help but smile, anticipating the events of the future; whether they be good or bad, he would face them head on as he always did.
Suddenly his, always bright sapphire sharakugan saw something. Chakra. Someone(s) were approaching. Were his trials already about to begin again? If so, he was ready. He sat, looking calm, but also prepared. Unflintching.

Rinko was running. Running hard. Her violent thoughts had flooded through her mind again, and running was the only way to keep them at bay. The forest was already thinning, and she hoped that it didn't lead into another village. Her purple eyes brought her to shame in many places. Her thoughts began to flood back again, so she pushed herself even harder. Often times, she found that when she was angry, she could run a great distance, or a long time. She'd been running for 30 miles on and off. She only stopped three times, however. She'd like to think she could run forever. While her feet pounded on the ground, she recalled her desolate lonliness, despite the fact that she had family. How she hated her family, especially her aunt. It was that woman that disallowed her from her revenge. Rinko remembered her family branding her arm with their clan symbol, then sending her away at a very young age. She shook her head hard. Finally, she was beginning to feel tired. In fact, exhausted. Her Adrenalin rush was coming to an abrupt halt, and she knew she'd be taking the toll. She was getting tunnel vision, and before she knew it, the edge of a ravine was feet away from her. She came to a screeching halt, sliding, and stopping a few inches from the ledge. She fell over backwards, her eyes shut, panting frantically.

It had been a flash. Mazuku had seen the girl's chakra for a while now, worried she might not know about the sudden drop ahead. He had been ready to assist if he needed to, and he thought that time had come. He used his Oniraishin no Jutsu. His signature and trademark. It distorted space and time around him and moved him from one location to another instantly so long as he could plant a packet of chakra at the area through his Sharakugan. He stood at the edge of the ravine, his arm slung out, ready to stop the girl if she hadn't stopped herself.
He looked down at her, she was exhausted, his Sharakugan showed that. Where was she running in such a hurry? He crouched down, staring at her with his iconic smile. He noticed the girls blue hair, what an odd hair color. He laughed out loud suddenly at the idea of him, with his purple hair, finding her hair odd. He noticed a symbol that seemed burned in her arm. Her clan? He turned his head towards the Uchiha symbol on his arm. A patch seemed more subtle then a scolding brand.
He tilted his head and grinned at her, "Hey. You should be more careful. Almost went right over the side. Death is a bad way to end a sun rise sprint through the forest." His voice was soft, calm. Sarcastic as he teased her at the end. He then noticed something, Shang Hyuuga's chakra was on her. Shang? She knew Shang? He supposed he'd ask as soon as he was sure she was conscious.

"I..." she panted, "I'm sorry.. I was.." She looked up at him, her bright purple eyes hardly visible though her thick bangs. She was starting at his hair. It was the same-- Her thoughts broke off, and she looked into his eyes. "I was.." What could she say? She was running from an angry past, and that was her only way to cope? Finally she decided on, "I like to run.." More like have to, she thought bitterly. She sat on her knees and bowed respectfully, but too delirious to know who he was, though his hair and smile should have given it away. "I'm sorry," she said, just starting to catch her breath. "I didn't mean to disturb you I was just... running." She looked down, finally putting pieces together. His hair.. It was almost as if.. Could it be? Mazuku, the 4th Onikage?.. but isn't he dead? She looked up at him, just to be sure. Sure enough. Its him!
She turned very pale, like she'd seen a ghost, but for all she knew, she may have been looking at one. She knew of him, and his disappearance, even though she was from half way across the country. She'd been around the region long enough to figure out the history.."Y-...You're the.."

He laughed suddenly before she could finish, "Enough of the sorry!" He grinned and sat across from her, "Like to run huh? You remind me of my student." He looked towards the golden and purple sunrise, seeming to avoid whatever she was going to ask. He began to speak, "I've had to run for awhile now. But I'm finally almost home. Soon, I'll be relived of my running." He looked at her, that smile still present as he extended his had towards her.
"Names Uchiha Mazuku." He said, his purple hair and sapphire eyes as bright as they could. He smiled as he thought to himself, 'Her hair's the same color as my eyes... and my hair is the same color as her eyes....' This thought only made his smile wider. He couldn't help but smile. It was how his grandfather taught him.

She stared at him blankly, her eyes still a little visible, but shadowed by her hair, making them appear darker then they really were. "I.. I know who you are.. but aren't you supposed to be..." She looked down, kind of puzzled. Her thoughts were clearing, but she was still pretty tired. She pulled her legs into her chest, and wrapped her arms around them. "Welcome back, I suppose," she said, turning to look at the sun. It cast an orange glow to her bright eyes. "My home is elsewhere." she said it bluntly. Her mind was flooding with all sorts of questions, like why did he leave? Where did he go? She shook her head. "I'm not even from here," she thought to herself, "What right do I have to ask anything?"

He laughed slightly, "Oh you know who I am? Well forget knowing who I am. I'm not some grumpy Kage." He smiled at her as she pulled her legs to her chest, she kind of reminded him of his son. He heard her as she spoke the words 'Welcome back' He smiled. His first greeting home. "Hey. Its impolite for me to introduce myself and you too not do the same." He said teasingly, "But I suppose it doesn't really matter." He stops, realizing he worded that wrong, "Well... It does but..." He stopped and began to think, "I can't think of a way to word it..." He smiled at her again
His katana brushed on the ground lightly as he leaned forward, "You. Your running from..." He looked at the scolded skin from the clan brand, "From your clan. Aren't you?" He said taking a guess. A simple shoot in the dark.

She glanced at him as he awkwardly worded her not properly introducing herself. "Oh, I'm sorry.." she said quietly, "...Yamochi. Yamochi Rinko.." She said her clan name like it was a disgusting food that lingered on her tongue. Which.. It seemed to be. As he leaned forward, she leaned back, eying him suspiciously. When he speculated that she was running from her clan, her eyes grew wide. She could tell he was guessing.. but he hit the bullseye. "Wha..." How do I react?! She sat there a few moments, feeling a fleeting urge to run. But he only guessed! He didn't mean any harm! Involuntarily, her hand went right to her brand mark, covering it. "I.." Really, she had nothing to say at all! Finally, she turned her head back to the sunset. Her gaze was downcast, though. She sighed and nodded.

Suddenly he broke out laughing, "Really? That was a shot in the dark!" His eyes scanned quickly as her hands covered the brand and she suddenly looked surprised. He smiled as she sighed and nodded. She looked so sad about the situation. His face morphed to one of experience. One of calmness and gentleness, "I was once in a similar situation..." He remembered his youth and then shock his head, "So... I'm pretty sure you don't want to talk about it." He smiled at her.
He thought for a moment, he wanted to change the subject, change the mood. He thought for another moment, trying to think of the happiest thing he could. "I have a kid you know. I left him all alone, so I have to get back to him." He looked up in the same direction she was, but his facial expression was one of up most joy. "Perhaps.... perhaps one day you will get to meet him. Onikaru..." He stared at the colorful sky around the sun and became lost in his own mind.

Rinko nodded when Mazaku said she probably didn't want to talk about it. "Thank-you.." She sensed a tiny bit of tension in the silence. For a moment, her mind went back to her early years. The Onikage's voice broke he sad thoughts. She looked up at him, the sun still reflecting off of her purple eyes. She listened as he spoke of his child. She found herself amazed at how happy he sounded to talk about his family, and for a brief moment, her heart swelled with an unfamiliar longing: She wanted to express that same joy, too. All she could do was stare and listen as he spoke. when he finished, she said quietly, Yes, maybe someday. That is, if I return to this place. I can take you to the village if you want." She stopped talking, and realized she may have made herself look like an idiot. 'He doesn't need as escort, he's the Onikage!' she thought. She was blushing, so she turned away.

He watched her nod. He almost painfully understood those feelings, though, perhaps in a different way. He saw the envy in her eyes as he spoke about his son. He then heard her speak, "Yes, maybe someday. That is, if I return to this place. I can take you to the village if you want." He tilted his head, "Onigakure?" laughed lightly, "Rinko-chan. Its on the other side of the ocean." He smiled at her, "Or did you mean the village your from? Or... are you from Onigakure?" He smiled at her more as he waited for an answer.

Without hesitation, she returned his smile. It was like smiling into the sun on a pleasant summer's day. It was contagious. "I.. I never plan to return to my birth place. I was meaning to take you back to your home, but then I realized it was a foolish thing to say.." Her smile faded as she turned her head away, recalling her dumb question. "I realized it was foolish because, well... because its your home." she shrugged one shoulder. "Of course, only if you want me to. Its no trouble, at all, I wander. Its somewhere I've never been before.."

He placed his hand on her head and moved her hair out her face suddenly and looked at her eyes, his wide smile as wide as ever, "Then I guess you and me are gonna stick around each other for a while." He smiled more, though it looked like he couldn't, "Because I'd never say no to another companion." He said as he removed his hand from her head and stared at the multicolored sky on the horizon.

At his touch, Rinko's eyes widened an she could feel blood rushing to her face. 'He.. He isn't making fun of me?..' in fact, Rinko noticed he regarded her as a normal person.. instead of the object of ridicule. She had forgotten to respond, and when she did he was already looking into the sky. She said, "Well, um, only if you want. I don't want to trouble you." She, too stared blankly at the sky, taking in its wild colors. For once, the sound of birds chirping was beautiful, instead of mindless chatter. Rinko felt at peace..

Mazuku enjoyed the peacefulness of the area and inhaled deeply. His eyes shut as he thought on the moment and then slowly opened them. Suddenly, something was wrong. Something had changed. He surveyed the area, scanning it with his Sharakugan, he could see a large globe of Chakra approaching the two of them, it seemed to be radiating from a single person. This person, was approaching rather quickly.
His black hair was contradictory to the surrounding colors. The man let off an aura that silenced the nearby birds and would leave anyone depressed. His black and red cloak, scattered with red clouds stood out in the array of color. He approached the cliff side, he knew the jinchuriki was nearby.

Rinko's head popped up. Her heart sank. The birds were quiet.. What was going on?... Her bright eyes turned to Mazuku. Everything felt... dark. But it was perfectly fine outside! She looked at him, who was focused on something.. A person? She turned her head in the same direction and asked, "Mazuku-san.. what is what?"

His eyes were now fierce, as if he knew who was coming. His eyes shifted towards Rinko, as he slowly stood, "Rinko-chan... how are you in a fight? I might need some help." His purple hair falls in front of his eyes as he looks towards the brush of the forest. His Sharakugan began to plant thousands of packages of chakra around the two of them. If Rinko wasn't able to fight, he would have no choice but to fight HIM and protect HER. He looked at her, deciding to answer her question, "His name is, Shiiku... He's the leader of the Neo Akatsuki. He's hell-bent on hunting me down since i'm the thirteen tailed Jinchuriki... his mere presence seems to call to death himself."
The man emerged from the brush. He had moderately spiky hair, which was all black. Where most shinobi had head bands, he had a bandage, which also covered where his right eye once was. His left and only eye was strange. The part that was usually white was pitch black and the colored area white. His body was clad in a black cloak, littered with red clouds.
"Uchiha.... Mazuku." The man's dark voice echoed, "It is time for your to surrender life and come with me." His eyes shift towards the unknown girl, different from the girl that usually accompanied Mazuku. "Who are you blue haired one? Is this beast holding you hostage? Do not fret young one. Death will save you from this torment." He stares at the two of them.

Answering his question, she said, "I can use the animals to my advantage. I'm no expert, but I can hold my own.." Her heart sank further, hearing that the ONIKAGE may need help. Help! From a meaningless runaway! From her! ...Wait, he was a Jinchuriki? She briefly wondered if she would see it.
Her eyes widened as the man stepped out of the brush. 'His eyes are weirder than mine!' She gaped at him, taking in the darkness. This wasn't going to be easy. Rinko didn't even know her own full potential. When Shiiku asked her whether or not she was a hostage, she made herself clear by standing firm by his side. She iddn't know how hard she'd have to fight, but she knew she'd give it her all.

Mazuku looked at Rinko and then ahead at Shiiku, it was reckless for him to involve her in such a scenario. He should just use his Hionishin no Jutsu and warp the two of them away, that might be there best bet. The leader of the Neo Akatsuki was one of the strongest opponents he'd ever faced. His sapphire eyes seemed to gaze at Shiiku, but his eyes, using the byakugan traits within them, were focusing on a nearby city that was not a shinobi one. He continued scoping the city, placing a chakra packet in the middle of it. The chakra packet, however was to far to warp to from here.
Mazuku quickly towards Rinko, "Rin-chan." He said, abbreviating her name and extending his hand towards her, "We but only met, but I'm going to ask you to trust me. We could stay and fight, but that would probably result in the pair of us dying...." Mazuku grinned at her as he finished.
Shiiku sighed as the girl answered him with her actions, "So you will both share the same, painful, death..." He watched them, waiting for any sudden movements.

Rinko stared at the hand. 'Does he want to me to take it?' Rinko looked into his eyes, very nervous. "Well, I don't wanna die quite yet.. What should we do?.." Rinko glanced as Shiiku. Surely, he must be strong. His Chakra was wearing her down, and if she had to fight, there were no birds. Shiiku must've scared them away.. Finally, she looked at Mazuku. "Alright. I trust you."

Mazuku's body moved back, towards the edge of the cliff. His warm, soft hand clasped around Rinko's, pulling her with him, gravity doing its job and pulling them both. Mazuku began to fall head first down the edge of the deep ravine, pulling Rinko along with him. gravity propelled the two faster and faster towards the shadowy depths of the ravine.
Shiiku stepped towards the edge of the ravine as the two plummeted downwards. "Hmph." He muttered before a sigh, "Why try to prolong such a miserable existence?" His body began to fade, if he had left or simply gone, 'incognito' was unknown.

Rinko closed her tiny cold hand around his, unaware of what he was doing. Was he-- was he backing up?! She glanced over her shoulder. Uh-oh.. "Ma--" The fall cut her off. Immediately, she closed her eyes. She could feel the wind whipping her braid to and fro, and most off all, gravity. She prayed there was water at the bottom, but then she remembered that Mazaku urged her to trust him. Suddenly, her fear went away. However, she still thought about Shiiku. Was he going to follow them?..

Mazuku laced his chakra through his fingers with professionalism, moving his chakra into Rinko. He glanced down, seeing how far the bottom was, however, it was to dark, he couldn't see. He closed his eyes for a moment and thought. His eyes opened quickly and his chakra moved quicker, and it also seemed Shiiku had decided not to follow them, or at least, it appeared that way.
He breathed in heavily through his nose and in a flash of purple chakra. They disappeared. It seemed as if a god had pulled them from the very fabric of life. Mazuku stood on the opposite side of the ravine, holding Rinko on his back now. He stepped forward, Shiiku wouldn't give up that quick. He moved quickly towards the forest, not halting what-so-ever.
He looked back and smiled at Rinko, seeing her eyes were clenched shut. "Rinko-chan." He said in his calming voice, "Why are your eyes closed? Its not as if we are falling." He says in a comforting tone. As he finished he leaped from the ground to the tree branches above.

Rinko's eyes opened slowly, hearing Mazaku's oddly calm voice. "Hnn?.." She opened them slowly, seeing as she was now on his back. There were on the ground! "What.. What happened?" She felt the shift of gravity as he lept into the trees.
Her thoughts rushed to the current situation, re-winded everything that had happened since her meeting with him in a flash of violet. She was running, she fell. She met the 4th Onikage. Shiiku showed up. Falling. Not falling. 'I'm on his back. How did that happen?' She shook her head, blushing a little. "Um.. You can put me down now.. I think I'm able to walk.." she said quietly.
When was the last time she'd been carried? As a baby, perhaps? She couldn't help but notice that slowly, remnants of her childhood were.. less painful. Was Mazaku's positive influence bringing about a better point of view, she wondered? Once again she shook her head. She just didn't know.

Mazuku's hair swayed in front of his face, "If I stop... Shiiku could catch us." he said between breaths, "Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, Rin-chan. I'll let you down... When I no longer see his chakra."
He shifted his weight, jumping to another branch and balancing on it with expertise. He continues leaping through the forest, "That man has beat me senseless on three occasions... I've learned to run on sight until I know I can fight against him. He held me in a prison on a snow capped mountain... I hope you understand when I say I can't let you down... He won't kill me, but he kills anyone that seems to be a friend, I can't let that happen." He moved quicker, looking back, searching for a chakra source.
Shiiku stood where Mazuku had originally reappeared on the opposite side of the ravine, "Your mine jinchuriki...". He stepped forward, walking towards the forest after them.

Rinko nodded, her chin softly tapping his shoulder. She couldn't help but stare at his hair. It was so.. Purple. At this, she smiled. She couldn't help herself! 'His hair is about as crazy as my eyes!' She could feel her long braid trailing behind her. A branch thumped her lightly on the top of her head, bringing her back to reality. Shiiku. Who was that guy? What did he want? She turned her head and looked behind her, the ravine far gone. At least, hidden by the trees. "Mazu-san.." she said, shortening his name to ask a quick questions, "Who IS Shiiku?"

Mazuku couldn't see her, but he was very common to smiles. He knew she was holding one. A smile. Suddenly, he heard the nickname his older brother had given him when he was eight echo from here lips. It caught him off guard. He looked back at her for a second, he shook his head and came back to reality, "Shiiku..." he muttered, "He's the leader of an organization that hunts people like me. Jinchuriki. People who hold the tailed beasts inside us." He said answering her.

Rinko noted her shortening of his name made him behave a little funny... She couldn't tell it it was bad or horrid; if he was offended but she decided she'd address him more formally. She nodded after he turned away, kicking herself for being disrespectful, at least in her mind. "Oh.. But.. Why is he hunting Jinchuriki? What does he want with them?"

Mazuku shook his head, "I'm not sure. But, I know he'll anything in his power to get them." He leaped continually through the forest. He looked back, Shiiku's chakra was moving, but Mazuku couldn't see him in it at all. He felt nervous as his Sharakugan suddenly deactivated. He blinked several times and then looked back, wishing he could move faster. "Why?" He muttered under his breath before looking forward and halting suddenly.
The image of Shiiku stood in front of two of them, he stared at them coldly it seemed. His hand slowly rose and pointed at them, and pointed, "Escape... is impossible." He muttered. His lips moved, but the sound came from behind the two of them. Dangerously close behind them.

"Why wha--" Rinko was cut off right in the middle as Mazuku came to a screeching halt. She peered over his shoulder and gasped a little. As soon as Shiiku's voice spoke from behind them, her eyes widened and she got chills. 'Not... Not good. At all..' Her arms broke out in goosebumps; she could sense the danger in the air, no, she could FEEL it. She stared right ahead at Shiiku, but really was looking for some animals to see if they could help aid.
