Mazuku grimaces at Shiiku and looks back, this must have been Shiiku's light manipulation jutsu, which meant light was no longer relfecting off his body, and he was projecting the image elsewhere. Mazuku jumped forward, dashing at Shiiku with Rinko still on his back. The two run through the projected image of Shiiku.
Shiiku watched after them as they ran, Shiiku was getting impatient, but he didn't want to chase him, he wished he would fight.

"Ah!" Rinko ducked her head into Mazuku's shoulder as he ran through Shiiku's image. Rinko turned her head and looked back, wondering where a safe place would be. The surrounding darkness scared away all of the animals nearby, so it would be difficult to try and find the real one, however pointless. "Mazuku-san.. Where are we going to go?"

Mazuku felt it. They were close enough to the village were he had planted a chakra package when they were on the cliff. He smiled, "Some where populated."
Suddenly, and only for but a second, it felt like they were falling as an aura of purple surronded them and just like that, they were gone from the area, gone from Shiiku. The pair of them suddenly stood next to the village wall. Mazuku looked in the direction they had been and could see Shiiku's chakra. It was still black. He blinked and looked back at Rinko, "Rin-chan, Are you okay?"

Rinko had no idea what happened. The falling, the purple. The second the falling sensation could be felt, Rinko squeezed her eyes shut and tightened her hold on Mazuku. 'What's happening?' Suddenly, she could feel everything be still. She heard birds chatting noisily in nearby trees. Then, she heard Mazuku's voice. "Hnn?" She opened her eyes, and when she did, they instantly widened. "What? Where..." She looked around, a little confused. "Did you do that?"

Mazuku breathed in as his feet ruffled the grass, he looked back, her eyes were clenched shut. He smiled for a second and then looked around, Shiiku's chakra was gone. Not moving away, but gone. He tilted his head, looking around in 360 degrees.
Suddenly, her voice broke in. He listened to her words and then looked back her and smiled, "Pretty neat trick, eh?"

When he turned his head, she was looking at a nearby tree. A nest was in the branches, and she was watching a bird feed her chicks. "Yeah.." she said in response to his question, however distant. "Yeah." She finalized. She looked back at him, a relatively calm expression on her face. "So.. uhm.. Mazuku-san.. What do we do now? Is he going to follow us?" Her expression morphed into one of relative worry.

He frowned as he heard her question, he thought for a bit and anwsered, "He's unaturally impatient. If things don't go his way, he ussually just up and leaves... try another time." He looked at the chakra being emited by Shiiku as he moved away, it almost scared him how dark it was. He stood taller, still holding her on his back, "Well, I should probably get some supplies..." He looked at the village wall, "So I guess this is my next stop, wanna tag-a-long?"

Rinko watched where Mazuku was looking, aware that he had stood up straighter. They were stopped, so she shyly climbed off of his back, and instinctively took a few steps back. "Impatient.. but determined.." she said, more to herself. She was becoming lost in thought and simply nodded when Mazuku asked his question. She was paying attention, but her mind was elsewhere.

Mazuku turned as she climbed off his back. He listened as she seemed to talk to herself, and couldn't help but smile as nostalgia took over him. This girl was reminiscent of two people; his son and late wife.
He smiled at Rinko and slowly lifted his hand, plopping it gently on her blue hair, "Rin-chan, You remind me of my son, you keep to yourself." He smiled at her more widely this time, "Its time that we got inside the village, I think."
He finished speaking with a simple nod of the head and turning towards the wall and a step forward, "Perhaps, my young friend, I'll get you something, come along." He said with a grin.

Rinko flinched a little when Mazuku put his hand on her head. "Ah.. I take that as a good thing?" She couldn't help but blush a little; recalling the last time she'd been complimented. By her aunt. "Well... I'm not particularly social.. If you can't already tell.." She offered him a sheepish grin and followed him to the village. "Oh, you don't need to buy me anything.. I.. I won't allow that."

He smiled through his eyes and returned the sheepish grin, "It is a good thing." He said before he began walking towards the gate of the village.
The wind, a sudden breeze, wrapped around the Onikage as he stepped away, he watched the girls shadow. He was almost positive Shiiku wouldn't reappear, not today, but he was still cautious as he slowed his pace, waiting see if Rinko would follow him

Rinko looked back at the direction they had come, the wind giving her gaze a dramatic effect. Then, she turned her head and looked at Mazuku, who was walking away. Hesitantly, she started for him, then more confident. She trotted until she was at his side, but slightly behind him, and walked with him, not saying anything. Rinko was debating what she'd just done. It was so.. unlike herself. Normally, she'd run from company, but at this point, she couldn't afford it. Plus, she liked Mazuku.

He smiled as he watched her shadow move next to his. He looked at her and gave her a tired smile before looking back at the village gates.
An obviously untrained guard flintched as he saw them approaching, he raised what seemed to be a spear and looked at them, "W-who are you!"

Rinko returned his weary smile, aware that she, too, was exhausted. She turned her soft gaze on the cowering guard, her bangs directly in her eyes. "We're just travelers," she said in a quiet voice, "We need a place to rest, and perhaps something to eat." Her gaze remained soft and patient, however unseen. She just wanted to sit down.

Mazuku nodded as his young friend finished, "My young friend speaks the truth." He said, his genuinely kind and calm voice, soothing to the troubled and uncalm heart. Mazuku's eyes were suddenly a purple color, similar to Rinko's in every way save the triangular pupil. Suddenly the guards shoulders slumped and his eyes got smaller, he seemed calm, relaxed.
He placed the spear on the ground and yawned at the two of them, "Y-yeah..." He said tiredly, "Go on in..." He said lazily.
Mazuku bowed his head, his eyes returning to their dark color as he did. "Come on Rin-chan." He said in his calm voice, "Lets go in." He began into the village.

Rinko bowed, too. She looked at Mazuku's normal eyes, a little puzzled. the guard was very defensive, then was suddenly tired and sluggish. She murmured a "thank you" to the guard, and as soon as they were past the gate, she said, "Mazuku-san.. how did you do that?" She was unaware that his eyes changed color, but she was feeling a little tired herself (from the previous events). She stifled a yawn, and looked into a tree and stopped walking. Her eyes rested on a mother bird feeding her two hatchings.

Mazuku smiled as her question reached him. He turned his head towards her and smiled, nodded and said quietly, "Later.." He said. He stopped as she did, admiring the mother bird and her children. They were blurry to him... His eye sight hadn't recovered from the use of his kekkei genkai on the guard. He looked around, suddenly, he noticed something about the town...
He placed his hand on Rinko's shoulder, "Perhaps... its just me... but was that guard the only person out in the town?" He asked looking around the deserted streets of the town. He blinked as his vision continued to recover.

Rinko flinched at the sudden human contact, and relaxed a little. She looked away from the nest, at the guard, and then into the town/ "Oh... Huh. I wonder why that is." She glanced down a nearby street. Everything seemed so quiet... She tilted her head to try and get a better look. "I think something isn't right here. Why would there be only one man here? What's he guarding-- where is everyone?.." She stepped away from the tree and began to idly walk towards the main square, hoping that there were birds.

Mazuku's eye lids slid over his eyes and his chakra focused around his eyes. His Sharakugan was active. He looked around the village, why hadn't he noticed it earlier? "There's no one here... Not a single chakra signature." He looked around the village double checking.
He took a step back, what was this? He looked at Rinko, "We've fallen into a trap... this is gen-jutsu. The guard must have been the trigger."

Rinko stopped walking, and turned her head to listen to Mazuku. He was right; this place was deserted. "What are we gonna do?" She crouched, with one hand on the ground, ready for anything. To herself, as she smoothed the dirt with her hand, she asked aloud, "I wonder who could be responsible for this..."

His saphire eyes shifted around, who could be behind this? Whoever it was, they were good, they had even fooled his Sharakugan, not an easy feat. He couldn't think of who it could be, Shiiku had never shown any interest with gen-jutsu before.
He looked at his young companion, maybe an enemy of her's? He spoke, "Do you know of anyone who's potent with gen-jutsu?" he asked her.

Rinko, still crouched, looked at Mazuku. She blushed a little at his question. "Um... I really.." She looked away, rather ashamed that she could be of no help. "Mazu-san, I really don't... socialize.." She flinched a little, knowing that she let his shortened name slip-- remembering how he reacted in the first place. Nervous, she rephrased what she said before. "I never talk to anyone.."

He was relived. So who ever it was wasn't after her. He heaved a sigh and looked around, even in this illusion, the caster couldn't be far. What could be their purpose in trapping them in a gen-jutsu though? They didn't seem to be making a move towards them. Then a possible struck the Yondaime Onikage, it made him shudder at the very thought of it. The words slide past his tounge unconsciously and laced with pain and a deep hate, "Father..." The chances were slim, but this gen-jutsu was, in almost everyway, representative of Uchiha Kazioko's Kazeyume Nightmare Realm.
He looked around --unconsciously he had broken into a cold sweat-- with hate in his eyes. Suddenly the shadows around Mazuku and Rinko began to dance, becoming figures that represented human figures. It seemed the caster of the gen-jutsu had decided to act. Mazuku felt that familiar feeling, the moment before battle. He messaged his palms with his finger-tips, he could still move, that most only be because the caster had allowed them to. He snapped his left hand back and grasped the hilt of his katana.

Still watching Mazuku, she observed his reactions to the shadows starting to dance. He looked as if he knew what was going on. She didn't dare ask what was going, on-- she didn't want to trigger a trap worse than what was already going on. Her violet eyes scanned the trees, trying to decipher what was moving. Her long braid hung loosely down her back, and rested on the ground. She pulled out two Kunai from her leg pouch, and clutched them tensely, waiting...

Mazuku looked at the shadows, his senses tuned, acute and ready. Suddenly, a shadows arm shot out towards the two. Mazuku was prepared, his katana flashed from it sheath with a veterans grace as he parried the shadow with a look of perfection. He lowered his brow, it was physical... well at least in the gen-jutsu it was. The shadow began to twirl and twist around his katana like a worm, he twisted his wrist and a burst of electricity and the sound of birds echoed from his katana.
The shadow was thrown off his katana and fell to the ground, another tentacle-like shadow shoot from the dark, towards Rinko.

Rinko's eyes widened, and she leaped backwards, hurling a Kunai at the tentacle. She reached out her mind, trying to find any animals who would aid her. There were some birds, but they were a-ways off. She pleaded that they would come closer. "What is that thing?" She said aloud, her heart pounding in her chest. There had been way too much excitement for the day, and she was still rather tried.

Mazuku examined as the shadow split while Rinko's kunai pierced through it. He then noticed that the wild-life, the birds in particular, were reacting to Rinko... was it because she was in danger? His hand suddenly was covered in a bright cloak of electricity and the sound of many birds echoed from it. He disappeared in a snap of purple chakra and grasped the shadow tentacle as it continued to try and assault Rinko.
The tentacle reacted to the quick shock from Mazuku's Chidori and went back into the shadows. The Onikage moved back next to Rinko and sheathed his blade. He knew this was gen-jutsu-- that any energy fighting this tentacle thing would nothing but wasted energy. They would need to break out of the gen-jutsu.
Mazuku looked down at the blue haired girl and spoke in a still optimistic, cheery tone, "Were gonna need to find a way out of this illusion..." He thought for a moment, "I'm still trying to find out if this is a dream illusion or a simple illusion." He looked around and then looked at Rinko again.

Rinko stared at him, her eyes wide. This was all too strange.. While she held his gaze, three crows nestled themselves into branches nearby. She glanced at them, and smiled Good enough. She made three handsigns, one for each crow, and focused her Chakra. The crows circled Rinko, and transformed into three clones of her, who took a defenseive stance, with one Kunai draw for each. Rinko's purple eyes were glowing ever so slightly, ready to attack the tentacle. "Mazu-san.." She whispered, "How are we going to do this?"

"Overwhelm...." He looked back towards the ground at her feet as he reached into the pouch on his lower back, "Our only choice, assuming this gen-jutsu is different then your average one, is to overwhelm the caster by trying to escape at different location simultaneously. Your clones..." Mazuku stopped for a moment and weaved a couple of hand signs, as he finished two replica's pulled themselves from his shadow and crouched next to the original, "...our clones. Should serve as a meaningful distraction." He pulled out three kunai knives, each of which had a purple and white ribbon tied on the bottom and a seal wrapped around it.
He looked at her, "Are you ready?"

Rinko watched quietly as Mazuku made his clones, which emerged out of his shadow. rinko found that interesting. Meanwhile, her clones stood as still as statues, Surveying the strange black tentacle. Rinko looked at her clones, then to Mazuku, then to his clones, also noting the purple ribbon on the Kunai. Two of the clones ran right at the tentacle, while one other and Rinko stood. Rinko looked at Mazuku and said, "Ready when you are."
