Biography

Shana never managed to meet the 'minimum requirements' for graduating the Ninja Academy, due to her inability to learn one of the most basic jutsu, the Substitution Jutsu. However, instead of forcing herself to learn it, she decided to try to excel in other areas. Her superiors always told her she had a knack for Wind Jutsu, so she started there. Eventually the academy graduated her due to her being able to produce a Wind Release: Whirlwind Technique without getting caught in it. Now, however, she is able to get herself caught in it deliberately while being able to avoid the other objects in the whirlwind, all while being able to use Kunai and Shurikens to attack her opponent with pinpoint accuracy. She obtained her title, the whirlwind of Sunagakure, during her first time attempting the Chuunin exams teamwork test, where she protected her injured teammates within the whirlwind, using multiple instances of Wind Release: Gust Technique to knock the debris out of the way of her teammates, sometimes knocking them into her enemies. Although she moved on to the third event, she lost her second battle during that event. The second time, however, she had learned more techniques and achieved victory almost effortlessly. However, one man, an Uzumaki from Konohagakure, did almost defeat her in the final match.
