A chuckle echoed around them as Yume laughed, "Yuki..." He started, looking at her with an amused look, "People aren't gonna care what you look like unless you let them..." He smiled, "You can dress however you like, after all, it makes you, you." He said, "The only thing that worries me... is the war..."

She shared his laugh, her discomfort leaving her temporarily. It returned when she observed him, and heard his comment about a war. "War?.." she repeated uneasily, "What war? What's going on?" She looked at the fire, now dying embers, and back to Yume with her orange eyes fraught with worry.

The smile that had formed from his laugh fadded slowly as she spoke, he hadn't wanted to be the one to tell her about it, but he would. "Shinobi are a foolish people... they solve disputes and disagreements with fighting." He began, "It's not enough for just them, they drag everyone along with them..." He looked at her, "This place may be better for you to live, but I worry enrolling you in the academy could end you up in the war... between the nations"

Yuki observed him, with concern still in her eyes. "I.. I see.." She looked away, feeling a little confused. Her island never knew war-- of course, it belonged to a dangerous organization.. Yuki had no intentions of being in any kind of war. "She looked ahead at Yume. "Yume-ikoki," she said, her tone serious, "If I am enrolled in the war, I won't take a single life."

His eyes widened for a moment but then became normal. He reached out and he patted his cousin gently on her head, "That..." He started, approval and evidence that he was proud of her clear in his voice, "is exactly what I wanted to hear..." He gave her a smile that showed approval.

She closed her eyes when he patted her head, and opened them again to see his smile. "I mean that-- i mean.. all my life my clan, my village, my island.. we knew peace. I'm not going to lose such values just because I have relocated.." She stared off into the distance. "I don't care if my life is risked."

He frowned at her for a moment, not a stern or disproving frown, just a frown. He looked past her, off into the white forest and spoke, "Strength... is not fighting the fight and winning it to display superiority. Strength is shouldering the the hate and anger that causes people to fight, carrying it on your shoulders and bearing it all by yourself to keep those around you away from conflict..." He spoke as if he was quoting some one and then looked up at her, "You obviously know this very well..."

She looked at him as a young child would look at a wise teacher. Her eyes were being opened about the outside world, and it was a world of violence and anger. She wanted to make it go away-- without fighting. "Yume-ikoki.." she said slowly, "Do you think the violence will ever end? will the two nations ever agree?"

He smiled at her, seeing she was becoming aware of the world around her, at that wasn't necessarily a good thing. "You will become a very wise shinobi Yuki." He blinked his eyes at her, "There's man who thinks in a very similar to you..." He looked away, "Perhaps instead of going to enroll you in an academy, I'll take you to him..." He said.

Yuki looked at him, listening to what he said. She blushed a little when he told her she was wise. She raised her eyebrows as he mentioned someone. "Oh? Who is this person you're talking about? Could they really teach me?"

He smiled at her, as he saw her blush, "He will be at the head of the war, but he won't kill a soul. He never has, yet he is held as the strongest shinobi in his village... a Kage." He looked away, "he hasn't returned yet, but he will." He blinked his eyes, "His name is Uchiha Mazuku." He looked at her, she might be the only person on the main lands who didn't know of the Uchiha Clan and wouldn't judge them by they're bloody past.

She had no clue who the individual was, as Yume speculated. "Uhh..." was all she said for a little while ,trying to search her memories for the name. nothing came up. "Okay. I will glady be his student. When he returns.. where did he go? When will he come back? What dose he look like?" She let loose a string of questions, due to her curiosity. Yuki could seem to be a bit of a child at times. She covered her mouth to cease her babbling.

He smiled at her and dropped his hand on her head again ruffling her hair a bit, he answered her first question first, "He died... and was spotted on your islands, being chased by the Akatsuki the next month." He smiled, "It wasn't accident, he's meant to live. Maybe to pass his ways onto someone..." He looked up and then blinked again, "You'll meet him, and I'll meet him with you."

She smiled, and nodded. "I can't wait! Where is he returning to? Can we go there?" The fire was now out, a lonely pillar of smoke streaming from the ashes. Yuki stood, and poured some dirt on the already dead fire. She was ready to leave.

He smiled, her eagerness and naive-ness was very similar to Mazuku's when he was her age. He stood up quickly as she did, it was clear that she was ready go and he didn't plan to suppress that. He answered the question that was clear in her eyes, "You ready to go, Yuki-Ikoki?" He asked her.

She nodded eagerly. Since Yume had healed her of her insanity, it was almost like she was reborn-- a new, young soul ready for anything. She looked around at the mainland, examining the trees and such. Everything was so different here! She turned and faced Yume. "Which way do we go?"

His eye's closed and he thought. They were in Heaven village... that would mean that they wanted to travel east, follow the coast line. "We'd follow the oceans edge until we reach the bamboo forest of the former Blood village. From there... we'd go north... well, north east." He spoke, looking at her, knowing she would be eager to see all these places.

She nodded, taking in what he'd said. "Okay, then. Let's get started!" She began to walk in the direction Yume pointed out, a few rocks joining her as she began to walk. Yuki didn't seem to mind, this time, however. Her mind was on greater things, such as what the mainland would look like when they got there.
