He smiled for a moment, but it soon faded. He knelt down and put his face down next to her, "Thank you Ryuu-chan, It means a lot." He stood up and patted her head gently. He closed his eyes and thought for a moment, "Nurse." He said. One looked towards him as he spoke, "Please inform me when her and my other companion, are in a stable condition." He looked towards the door of the tent and dismissed it. He turned around and looked at Ryuu and then looked at Minzuri on the bed across from her.

She felt his presense grow near, and she stiffened a little. she even flinched when she heard his voice that close to her head. "Uh.. y-yeah, anytime, Oni-san.." Not really knowing why, she closed her eyes and held her breath until she felt him go a little farther away. She drew her breath slowly, and opened her eyes, letting the nurses examine her wounds.

He smiled as he heard her agree and slowly sat at the wall of the tent, it felt good to sit down again. He smiled up at the nurses and then lowered his head, his eyes were heavy and he could feel sleep coming on. His descent into sleep was quick, it was deep and peaceful. He wouldn't dream, it was a change. Usually, Katsmaru influenced his dreams, gave him night terrors. But he was sparred of this. He slept for a few hours, surely by the time he woke up, at least Ryuu would have awaken.

A lot had happened while Onikaru slept. They'd removed Ryuu's shirt (rather baggy, and a light green), popped some ribs into place, tightly bandaged them, and gave her a different shirt; her clothes were tattered. They also put a light cast on her left leg. It was broken, but not badly. The nurses also supplied her with a crutch, though Ryuu heavily refused. While they worked, Ryuu was very quiet, occasionally glancing at her teammates. By the time they were done, she was allowed a small snack, which she ate gratefully. She now sat on her bed, recovering, and slightly drugged from pain pills given to her.

Onikaru awoke. His eyes were glazed over, however, only for a moment. He lifted his head and saw that Ryuu had awoken. He smiled. She was okay. "Hey." He said slowly, "You look a lot better." He told her. He yawned and stretched out his arms, before he stood up slowly, the scorched skin on his shoulder crackling as he moved. He cringed a bit but quickly hid any pain that he might have been showing. He slowly began to walk to the table she was put on.

Ryuu saw Onikaru getting up, and her eyes widened. She wanted to ask him if he was okay, but the answer would be obvious; whether he was or not. She returned his smile blankly-- she was slightly out of it, and said, "Ah. You're awake.." along with a waving gesture of her hand. She should've napped too, but now she wouldn't. She saw he was approaching her table, and she got a little nervous, not really knowing why. She looked away involentarily.

Onikaru looked at her. He saw the pain medication still there in her eyes. " Your right, I am awake." He noticed her nervousness and stopped walking. "Are you feeling any better?" He asked her, "I'd like to leave as soon as possible." His eyes widened, "Well, I'm not rushing you or anything... It's just..." He stopped and looked around, "I'm nervous... I'm not really liked in this village..." He gazed around the tent, his eyes traveling towards Minzuri, who was still unconscious.

Ryuu leaned back a little, startled by her leader's reaction. "Oh, I'm.. fine.." She shrugged one shoulder, her eyes rather glossy. She stared at nothing in particular, unblinking for a moment, then her eyes slowly drifted to Minzuri. "I understand.." She said in a far off tone, "Do you think Minzuri-chan will be okay?.." Ryuu leaned against the wall, mindful of her tightly bandaged ribs. From everywhere came a dull ache, only because of the medication. Her gaze drifted, and she just stared blankly.

He looked at her and tilted her head. That medication must've been rather strong... He looked at Minzuri once more and then back at Ryuu, "I'm sure she'll be fine... She's frail, an emotional wreck... but she's strong." He lifted his arms and crossed them in front of his chest, his hands were balled into tight fists as he looked at the two girls. He looked away from both of them, a serious and rather annoyed look now on his face.

Ryuu was a little dazed, but she caught on to Onikaru's feelings. She looked at him, her gaze softened. "Hey.. We'll be out of here soon, alright? And if anything happens, I'll fight and die so you and Minzuri can escape." She was being serious, too. Ryuu wasn't exactly suicidal, but she didn't fear death either. Especially when it came to her friends. She remained seated, and pulled at the shirt the nurses had given her. (Sorry, this one is the light green one; Ryuu wears black usually)

Onikaru looked at her, the annoyance still in his eyes, "That's not it..." He looked away, "It's this whole situation..." He looked down, " As leader I should have been able to make sure you and Minzuri... weren't hurt as bad as you were." He thought how the opposing side had left, "Zaneku, Minari, and Sasimaru all walked off as if nothing had happened... we had to leave our village and our now receiving medical aid..." He looked up at her, "I should've been able to protect the two of you..."

She looked at him again, and tilted her head, understanding. "Oni-kun.. You did what you could. We.. We all did. We may not be pleased with the ending result, but here we are. I'm just glad you didn't die.." Ryuu realized she may not have been helping Onikaru any, so she just shut up. She did continue to look at him, though, her eyes still glossy, but frought with concern.

He closed his eyes and lowered his head, "Your right though... but the Uchiha clan has never liked to be like that... we're a bit stubborn that way.." He looked at the medical supplies on the table near Ryuu and he moved his hand awkwardly towards them. He toyed with a scalpel, twirling it around in his fingers. After a bit, the scalpel slipped from his grasp and cut the middle of his right index finger. He pulled his hand back and watched the blood drip down his hand.

A little mesmerized, Ryuu watched the blood, and wondered what she should do. She looked around, and saw a rag. "Here." She tossed it to him, wondering how he managed to cut himself open like that. She stared at the wall ahead of her, wondering if she should just get up. She figured she'd have to resort to using the crutch to walk. She scooted over to the edge of the bed, and put her feet on the ground, not yet standing.

Onikaru took the rag before it could fall. He looks at it for a moment and then at the cut, he laid the scalpel down along with the rag. He decided to let the blood remain on his hands. He turns towards her and crosses his arms across his chest, "Thanks..." He said to her for the rag anyway. He looked at her as she put her feet on the floor, He unfolded his arms and reached out, clutching the crutch. Instead of giving it to Ryuu, he pulled it back and put it beside him. He looked up at her, he was curious if she could muster the strength to walk on her own. He was also curious if she would tell him she was in pain.

Ryuu nodded as Onkiaru took the rag. She noticed how he didn't treat his injury, though. She was getting ready to get off of the bed, but saw in her peripherials that the crutch had been moved. She looked at Onikaru; Yup, he took it. She looked at him, a thought forming in her mind: this was a test. It must be! She wasn't about to let her leader down, either. Carefully, she stood up, most of the weight on her right foot. Pain shot up her left leg, to her side like a lightening bolt. She frowned, but wasn't going to express any discomfort, though it was expected-- after all, she was walking with a broken leg. She stepped forward, on her right leg, all of the weight now on her left leg. She dropped, but caught herself on a nearby chair. She stood; straightened. She tired again, succeeding this time. Her face was red because her fall had caused her some embarrasment. She took a few more painful steps, and planted herself in a chair.

Onikaru watched her as she walked with her broken leg. He looked down and then looked up at her with an odd look on his face. He reached the chair she had planted herself on. He looked at her, his eyes an odd shade of dark gray. Thoughts rushed through his head; mixed feelings. He looked at her with a pained look. "Ryuu-chan... You've shown me that you know me as the leader of New Dawn... but your more then just a follower to me. Your my friend. Your loyalty is obviously unshakable, but... you need to tell your teammates... your friends when you need help." He leaned the crutch against her chair, "Power is important. Strength is a virtue. But being able to admit you need help and meld your power with your teammate's power would make us unstoppable." He smiled and patted her head gently, expecting her to flinch a bit.

Ryuu was panting and sweating a little, because of her leg. She heard and took in everything Onikaru said-- his words were important. "I.. I understand.. Oni-kun.." She bowed her head and felt warm hand on her head. She tensed up a little, but didn't move away. She was too busy thinking about what he said. She hated expressing her suffering. "I'll... Umm, I'll try.." She kept her eyes averted, and was still pretty red.

He removed his head and left the crutch by the chair and walked towards the door of the tent. He looked back at her, "Just take my words to heart. Either way; I'm proud of you. I can tell your closed; you don't express yourself. I'm the same way." He opened the door of the tent, "I'll be back... Were gonna head to the Village of Flooding Oceans next, it'll be quite the walk... And..." He looks through the shadows outside, "I expect that we'll be followed by Mist Village Hunter Nin... so we'll be needing supplies." He steps out the door of the tent and exits the tent.
He looked up at the sky and sighed; they needed to bring up morale... He looked around, wondering which way it would be to get to the market area. He stood outside the tent, looking towards the village skyline.

"Closed?..." Ryuu thought to herself. "Hmm.." She watched Onikaru as he left, thinking it was a little odd how he behaved. She looked down and away. "We do happen to be alike in that regard.." She sighed. She looked at the crutch. That's what her friends-- teammated needed to be to her. A crutch. Help.. Close. Like a family.. Ryuu shurgged. She really wasn't used to being cared about. Or even caring, but Onikaru said it right. Her loyalty WAS unshakable. She'd sooner die than betray her friends. She looked at Minzuri. "Minzuri-chan.. Please be well.."

A few hours after Onikaru had left for supplies, Minzuri began to shuffle in and out of consciousness. After a while; she awoke. Her deep blue eyes opened slowly, her eyes were glassy and her face was blank for a moment. She sat up slowly, a series of pops resulting from her back as she did, she stared blankly at the wall of the medical tent and then the opposite direction of Ryuu, and finally, towards Ryuu. She stared at Ryuu for a moment with a blank face before her eyes widened and she she jumped a bit, her eyes no longer glassy.
"Ryuu-san!" She said quickly, she looked around the tent quickly and then looked back at Ryuu, "W-was I dreaming!? Is- Is Karu-kun alive?" She asked her quickly, the stitches on the back of her head pulling. She jumped a bit at the pain and calmed down.

Ryuu stood up, totally ignoring the jolt of pain in her leg. She smiled-- glad to see Minzuri was alive. "He's fine, Minzuri-chan. He went out to get supplies. Lie down and relax, please, you're worrying me." Ryuu sat down, trying to mask her discomfort. "Are you well? Do you feel better?"

Minzuri was not able to see through Ryuu's mask and see her pain. She gave Ryuu a smile, "He-He's okay..." She sighed and looked down at the ground, smiling. She looked up at Ryuu, "And you?" She asked as she lied back down, doing as her friend had asked. She turned her head towards Ryuu, her hair fell off her face and showed her entire face, which was rare. Her fox like scars on her cheeks showing clearly.

Ryuu smiled, remembering what Onikaru said. "I'm... I'm hurting a little... but I'll be fine. I'm glad you're okay, Minzuri-chan. I really am.." She looked around, examining the room. The medication had fully worn off now, and she was alert. Her leg was barking out in pain in pulses that sycronized with her heartbeat. It wasn't bad, though. She was more thankful that her friends were really alright..

Minzuri nodded at Ryuu and smiled, "I'm glad your okay..." She sat up a bit, her hair falling back over her face, she smiled at her friend, "Karu-kun will probably want us to leave today... " She sat up a bit more, and propped herself up with her hands and looked at the small drops of blood from Onikaru's hand earlier, but disregarded it, seeing as they were in a medical tent.
Onikaru dropped a small handful of money down on the shop counter and turned his back on the storekeeper before leaving, carrying a large quantity of supplies; food, weapons, etc. He looked to his left before turning right down the road, back towards the medical tents. He thought, 'It's a good thing I took so much money from Father before I left..." he looked at the bounty of materials in his hands and grinned. After a bit, he returned to the medical tents. He slowly stepped in and set the bags down on the medical counter. He hadn't yet notcied Minzuri. He took out three packages of food for his teammates and himself and began preparing them.

Ryuu turned her head, and watched her leader. He was preparing food. She looked over at Minzuri and smiled. "Onikaru." She said, and pointed to Minzuri. "She's awake now, and she's okay." Ryuu smiled again.

Onikaru jumped a bit when Ryuu spoke, he turned towards her and saw her finger pointed towards Minzuri. He looked at Minzuri and saw her looking back at him, he smiled at her, "Minzuri... Your awake. Are you okay?" He asked as he turned around and continued with the food packages. She smiled and nodded, "Yes, Karu-kun. I'm experiencing a bit of pain on the back of my head and back, but nothing I can't get through. Onikaru nodded although his back was turned. He turned and extended his hand to Ryuu, a package of food in his hand.

Ryuu gratefully accepted the gift with both hands and bowed her head. "Thank you.." She broke apart he wooden chopsticks and began to silently eat her meal. She turned slightly away from the two-- she felt rather uncomfortable eathing in frot of others; and she was too hurt to run away to a different area.

Onikaru nodded as she took it and then offered the other one to Minzuri, who accepted hers in a similar fashion as Ryuu and began eating immediately afterwards as well. Onikaru leaned back against the counter and held his own ration in his right hand after also breaking the wooden chopsticks apart and also began eating. He looked at the scenario and his eyes widened, this was almost a recreation of his past. Of his chunnin exams. One friend turned away... Reizo Kurohari... One friend in a hospital bed... Kasai... and himself... standing up. He looked down and smiled, "After this meal, were leaving to the land of Lakes, the Village of Flooding Oceans." He looked up at his friends.
Minzuri's eyes were wide and she set her chopsticks down, "Were-" She stopped, "Were hunting the Hakumei Seidei!?" She said with a worried face "Aren't we?" Onikaru grinned at her.

"The Hakumei what?" Ryuu asked, partially turning her head to regard both of them with cold grey eyes. She shrugged one shoulder, and turned away. "I've never heard of them, who are they?" She kept eating silently. She became every wary. Another threat to her friends? She'd snap anyone's fingers if they wanted to hurt Oni-kun and Minzuri-chan. She hunched her shoulders as she became readily apprehensive.
