Hakumei Recruiting Mission - Tairei Raion

Miyako Noburu would be walking down the street, ocassionally glancing at a picture in his hand. He would look around for a moment, before his eyes widened. He had seen a ramen shop. Ramen was his elixir, the food of the gods. he stepped inside and sat down. he was about to order when he looked over at the person next to him. his eyes widened once more, and he looked at the picture he was holding, then back at her, and back and forth for several seconds. His order arrived, and he decided he would be able to convince her on a full stomach. "Itadakimasu!" he said as he dug in.

[Selena]

Hinata was working on her second or third bowl of ramen, she had stopped counting after the... well, after the very first. She hadn't eaten the day before. She hadn't had time, and had forgotten. Not only that but she had been searching for someone to mentor her. The stupid academy sensei had forgotten to assign her one. Not that it wasn't unusual. She had always been accused for cheating when it came to her scores, though she never had.

She was just finishing up when a man walked into the ramen stand and sat down. He, however, did not just go on and order. He did that, and began to look at Hinata, something he held in his hand, and then at Hianta again, and repeated the process a few times. "Um... Why are you looking at me like that..." Her tone was a bit accusing, but it was more wary than anything else. "If you're after a fox I don't have one..." She paled a bit though and quickly pushed her now empty ramen bowl away. What he probably wanted hit her like a train wreck on crack.

"Excuse me." With that she stood up, gave a polite bow to the owner of the stand, and then quickly turned around and began to head for the entrance. "I have some... business I must take care of." No one was going to come after her and Ruion. No one. Take it easy child. I won't let anyone hurt you. The voice of said creature echoed soothingly in Hinata's head and the tension in her shoulders melted away, though she still glanced back every so often.

Miyako sighed. He looked longengly at the ramen set before him. he groaned, put some money on the counter, thanked and apologized to the owner, then started after the girl. He stopped for a second before spotting her walking down the street. He started walking towards her. She looked behind her and saw him, and she started to speed up. Miyako groaned inwardly and ran to catch up to her. as she was still young, it didn't take long. He stood in front of her, in the middle of the crowded street. He didn't think she would be afraid, after all there were numerous witnesses. "im not going to hurt you. Can we go back to the ramen stand or something to talk? i know you don't know me, but i still need to talk to you."

[Selena]

Hinata growled when the man was suddenly standing in front of her and she narrowed her eyes, clutching a stuffed fox toy to her chest. "Go away. I know what you're after. You can't have her!" For a split second her eyes had a tint of red and they changed to slitted cat's eyes, but then it was gone and her normal eyes remained. Calm child. Panicking won't help. Hinata began to tremble and took a step back, not being able to help herself.

She then growled quietly and tucked her head to her chest. "You'll never take Ruion away from me. Never. I don't care if you want world domination, you'll never have her for your own sick and twisted uses." Poor girl, didn't even know that he didn't want her so he could take her demon from her. Still, she didn't take chances. If someone was unafraid of her that usually meant they were trying to kill her. You could only trust those that were afraid, and even then you should still be wary.

She took another step back, hand resting on a pouch at her hip. I said not to panic. Calm yourself and relax. See what he wants first. It was obvious that Hinata was listening to someone, someone that she was very fond about, but no one was around that was speaking to her besides the man, and it wasn't him obviously.

Miyako would raise his eyebrow in question for a moment, before realizing, the girl thought he was Akatsuki, wanting the demon for their own twisted desires. As she backed away, he held both of his hands up as a sign that he wasnt trying to hurt her. "I do not want to take your...what was it you called, Ruion. Please, listen to what i have to say before you run in fear. There are so many people here, even if i wanted to, i couldnt hurt you here with all these people to help you." He regretted the words as soon as they came out of his mouth.

As soon as he said it, images flashed from his childhood, after the experiment.... the villagers attacking him, looking at him with their hatefull eyes, their unwillingness to accept that it wasnt his fault. Then he was snappped back to reality by the voice, the voice that haunted him throughout his life. "Kill her. Kill them all!!!!!!!!!!!" Miyako stopped, and grabbed his head. "NO! Shut up, you bastard. ill deal with you later. Why wont you leave me alone!?" he shook his head and seemed back to normal. He looked back to the girl, "Sorry about that. I to, have a, partner. but unlike you, mine isn't friendly. don't worry, its okay. but can we please go back to the ramen stand and talk?" Miyako's mind went back to the steaming ramen that was put in front of him before he was forced to leave. his mouth watered at the thought.

[Selena]

Hinata continued to tremble, that is until a very faint, but still visible, aura surrounded her neck. It seemed to look like a lion... except... a very small lion, with three tails. Said figure glared daggers at Miyako and a voice, too large for such a small creature, boomed in his mind. It was twisted with a snarl, but still understandable. If you lay a single finger on my girl. I will kill you. No matter the consequence. With that promise made the cat then turned and licked Hinata's cheek lovingly before resuming its glare.

After a few moments of simply standing there Hinata turned around and began to head back to the ramen stand. She didn't like his little outburst, in fact it scared her. The people around probably wouldn't do anything either. Ruion wouldn't let her be hurt though. Ruion would protect her. Wouldn't she? Of course I will dear.

Miyako sighed with relief, sitting down at the stand. He looked at his wallet and decided on three bowls. he ordered then turned to the girl next to him. "Do you want some?" he didnt wait for an answer and ordered a bowl for her, if only so they had something to do while they talked. The ramen was set in front of them and Miyako began to explain why he was there. " Hinata, i know you don't trust me yet. and thats understandable since you don't know me. in fact if you did trust me, i'd think you were unsuitable for what im about to ask." He sighed and took a bite of ramen, which for him was a large slurp. he looked back at her. "I am the leader of a group known as Hakumei. We exist solely to remove the stain on the world known as Akatsuki. I have come here to attempt to recruit you for our cause. As it is, you do not have the strength to take on the Akatsuki, even with Ruion. no offense to her or you, but you simply don't have the experience or the training. I am offering to provide both. While i work towards our goal, i will train you and teach you all that i know. In return, you help me to take down the wretched Akatsuki scum. I have already talked to your Hokage, and he has agreed that this will be a good experience for you." He took another bite of ramen.

"I know what you're going through, the isolation, the lonlieness, the hatered. I already told you about my "friend". well, because of that i can relate to you on this level at least. unfortunantly for me, my friend isnt my friend, but my worst enemy that i must constantly fight with. i hever had a friend like you have in Ruion. I am willing to take you from this place, and become your mentor, and teach you all the skills i can. i will also try to help you work better with Ruion. I know i seem to be rambling on right now, but the Hakumei is seriously lacking in members, and with enough training, you can become more powerfull than anyone in this village. you can help save the world from the Akatsuki, and after, use your power for whatever you see fit, be it to become hokage, or any other goal you set your mind to. i will help you achive it."

[Selena]

Hinata simply poked at her ramen, for she had already had three bowls previously. However, when the man suddenly said her name her head snapped up and she glared at him instinctively. "How do you know my name?" She had tensed again, though didn't say anything else throughout his entire "speech". When he was finished she continued to glare uncomfortably at him.

"Why would I be interested." She then returned to poking at her ramen, looking as if she was broken and defeated. "I don't care what happens to this damn village." She did care, but why should she? "All the Hokage wants is for me to go away, and die. That's all anyone wants. You'll probably take me away and give me to the Akatsuki."

After deciding that she wasn't hungry Hinata pushed the bowel of ramen away and sighed, propping her arm up on the table with her elbow and resting her chin on her elbow. Oddly enough she looked peaceful, as if something was working its way through her body and relaxing her. For a few moments she had forgotten that the man was even there and she looked older than she really was.

"This is my home... and yet we're both trapped and shunned. I feel loyal... and yet I have no reason to." With a sigh she rubbed her hand on her temples and then slowly down the bridge of her nose.

At the word "Akatsuki" Miyako visibly tensed up. after a few minutes of silence, Miyako looked over at her. "I already said that Akatsuki is my enemy. and regardless of what the Hokage wants, if you come with me, you'll have what you don't have here. people who accept you. A teacher. A purpose. like i said, whatever you're goal is, i will help you, regardless. I could care less about this village,and if you want to return so be it, but if you want to crush it, ill help with that too. We're kindred spirits you and i. i know how it is to be conflicted like you are. And unlike those ignorant villagers, i know what pontential you have. i will do whatever is in my power to help you."

[Selena]

Hinata gave the man a skeptical look and hesitantly reached over to poke him in the shoulder. "You're not doing a very good job of convincing me. I don't really care about power, so that is just kinda mute in this conversation." She then looked away and sighed. "I grew up here... We grew up here. Though Ruion was around before this place even existed, we still grew up here." She was quiet for a little while. "Why you think I'd want to crush my own home is beyond me. And if you dare to hurt anyone here..." She let a glare finish her threat.

Despite saying she didn't care for the people here she did. There was an odd loyalty to the girl, and it was obvious that wasn't going to trust anyone whos loyalties weren't to this place. Or at least, if she did, it would take a while.

She then stood up and turned to leave again. "I should get my stuff. You can follow. I don't care." Then she began to walk away. Though oddly enough instead of going towards the residential part of the village she headed for the woods.

Miyako sighd as he got up and followed after the girl, walking beside her. "you misunderstand me" he said as they passed the first trees of the forest, "I'm not offering you power, i don't work that way. im simply offering to help you achive whatever it is you want. i realise im not donig a good job of wording this..." he would sigh. "and i don't have any ill will to this village either. No, i simply thought you might. it was simply an example of diverging paths, saving or destroying the village. i only used it as an example to show you that whatever you chose, i will help you. don't think of me as totally selfless, as that would be idiotic. i need your help as well. And aside from me helping you, my true offer lies in what i said before. a place you can belong and people who care about you. And the people who hate you now in this village, will see you as a hero when you save the world, so you can return here revered and loved if you so wish. " They continued to walk in silence for a while.

[Selena]

Hinata didn't say anything as she walked, and she seemed to be ignoring Miyako. Even once she finally reached the woods she offered no explanation. Instead she simply moved deeper into them, weaving through the trees with an obvious purpose. She then suddenly stopped, turned to the side, and then ducked down under a crudely made shelter. "Yes I live out here. Problem?"

Her voice was harsh, as if she expected him to give some smart remark about it. When she reappeared all she held was a small pouch full of some sort of fruits and bread. She then buckled it around her waist on the opposite side of her shuriken pouch. However, she obviously wasn't ready to leave yet.

Without even glancing at Miyako she crouched down in front of a clump of bushes that made a small shelter beneath them. Under the bush was a small pile of stones with one standing upright with the words 'My little fox.'

With a sigh Hinata lightly traced a hand across the letters before resting her palm flat against it, head tucked to her chest. "I'll be back girl. I promise. I won't ever leave you alone." Her hand then lightly ran over the stones on the ground, pausing on each one for a moment before moving on. She then sat there for a little while, hands on the ground, and eyes closed. She was obviously grieving for whatever lie beneath the ground there. "I'll be back." Then she stood up and shook herself a bit like nothing had happened.

Then she glared a glare that could burn through iron. "Where to?"

Miyako would give a grin. "wherever we feel like going. but first lets meet the rest of the team. Are you ready?" as he said this, he would jump into the trees, and sit on a branch, waiting for her. "truly, thank you Hinata. you wont regret this, i give you my word, and i NEVER go back on my word." as she jumped into the tree next to him, their journey began.

[Selena]

Hinata raised an eyebrow and sighed before shifting her position a bit, placing her hands on her hips. "Look. You're up to something. For one, I hate being able to do whatever I want whenever I want. Two, I have no reason to help you. Three... you're just plain weird. Four, I don't really want to go anywhere. So either you start making things interesting, or I'm going to end up dieing from boredom."

The cat around her shoulders snorted in an attempt to keep from laughing, but she was caught, and Hinata held her up by the scruff of her neck. It was probably odd seeing it, since the demons were usually the ones to pick up humans and not the other way around. "I heard that."

But it was funny. The cat made its eyes go huge and flattened its ears. I'm sure he found it funny as well. Hinata simply raised an eye, sighed, and put the cat back on her shoulder where it then clung to her shirt, giggling. If demons could giggle, this one did. "Sometimes she's more of a pain than she's worth."

Miyako looked at her and laughed a little. "When i said "wherever we want", what i meant was, wherever I want." you're following me, we're meeting our other members, then off to the hideout." He turned and started off. When she didnt follow him, he turned around. "i said, lets go. my patience is limited."
