An unexpected meeting! (Onikaru and Ryuu)

[Rinko]

Ryuu sat by the stream, dipping her sore feet in the cool, refreshing water. She had been running for ages! As the water surrounded her toes, she tilted back her head and sighed with relief. Her bladed chain whip was wrapped around her shoulder, and her backpack to her side. She was running from nothing; she simply ran for the feeling of freedom. Never had she felt so happy before. Each time she just let loose and run, the rush of the first time fleeing filled her body. However, the reason for her sudden departure brought back her grim face. She slid out of her black coat and let the shady trees cool her as she remembered her dark times. Unknowingly, her anger caused her to grip the grass at her sides, and eventually, her nails cut into her hands; only enough to break her pale skin, a habit since childhood. She sat alone and continued her never-ending thoughts.

[Moongem]

Across the river an onyx haired boy stepped from the thick bamboo forest, he stumbled slightly, he seemed to have wrapping over his eyes. He heard the river and felt his way towards the river. He sat across from her, he had not yet noticed ther girl. Damn, this temporary blindness is a real pain in the ass! he thought.

He had put his hand in the river and washed them, he looked across at her, but not knowing it.

[Rinko]

The boy who stumbled across the way from her broke Ryuu out of her thoughts. "Why would he just sit so recklessly in front of me?" she thought to herself. She froze. "Is he doing that on purpose?" She sat for a moment, waiting to see if he would acknowledge her. When he didn't, she cleared her throat. She grabbed for her weapon incase of any conflict.

[Moongem]

Onikaru washed his face and stopped suddenly, he felt foolish, tention had gathered in the air, "Hello?" asked without knowing if anyone was there. He sat quietly, waiting for an answer, "Is someone there?"

[Rinko]

"Hmm.." Ryuu thought to herself. "Can he not see?" She still held her weapon as she said, "Yes, someone is here. I won't harm you unless you ask for it. But I couldn't help to notice you seem a little.. hindered. Are you alright?" She stared at him from the other side of the stream. Her grey eyes narrowed as she tried to get a look into his eyes. She couldn't see them clearly. Almost as if they were.. covered by something...

[Moongem]

He sat queitly. "My eyes are recovering. As of late I began to treed in the darkness." A smile seemed to warp his face, "Your... running from something." He said, feeling insightfully, "Are you... looking for some darkness?" He said ominously. "I have plenty to share, Is power what you seek?"

[Rinko]

"...No..." she said, uncertain, "What do you mean by sharing your power?" She stared at him, grimly, but intent. "You are an odd one, aren't you?" She still held her hand on her whip, untrusting of her neighbor. "Who are you anyway? and why are you here?" She still stared at him, unsure of what she should do.

[Moongem]

"I am whatever you want to think of me." He placed his forearms on his knees, "My name is Uchiha Onikaru, I am here because two days ago, my group attack and conquered the Posion village, I'm simply out on a walk." His grin vanished and he stared at the water blankly. "Do you plan to attack me with that whip? Do you think you could?"

[Rinko]

Her grip tightened as he asked her this. "I was initially going to use it to defend myself if you decided to attack me. Reluctantly, she said, "My name is Hikaya Ryuu. How about we make a mutual agreement, considering we both need this water for the time being?" Ryuu knew she was exhausted, and could not; did not even have a chance in case a fight broke loose. She sighed. "I am here because I am a wanderer. I will be gone within the day, all I ask is for no trouble."

[Moongem]

"Initially... 'was' you speak in the past tense, what if I decide to attack you still? Could you fend me off?" He smiled again, "There is an easier way of going about this, I can feel why your 'running' you we're isolated as a child correct? Alone and forced to do the best you could even if it meant you couldn't have pawns commonly known as friends. How close am I?" He asks her.

[Rinko]

"Unfortunately..." she began awkwardly, "You are correct. And no, at the point I am now, You could easily kill me off and take my belongings. Not like it matters an awful lot if you do, though. I've learned that life is nothing but a spider's thread of a web that dangles freely in the wind. When the thread is cut, that's all that happens." Ryuu sighed. "And you, Onikaru?" She started at the water ahead of her, dismayed. No one has ever read her that easily; of course no one has ever said more than two words to her after she left her home.

[Moongem]

"I... I was a prince in Onigakure. My father was the fourth Onikage. I lived in the same, sheltered hell. He was overprotective and had me study at all of my waking hours." He stared towards her, "I have felt your pain, I ran away from it as well." He holds a fist up, "But now... now I have constructed a key that can ease others of that pain. "I can free you Ryuu-chan." He said referring to her as friend, "I can take you to friends that will die for you and power that can allow you to live how you like, what better feeling is there then freedom?"

[Rinko]

Her eyes widened when he called her as one would a friend. She opened her mouth but could not speak for a time. She closed it and stared at the water, troubled and confused. Could she trust this person? They just met, after all. She sighed. "I.." she began, but lost her words. "Onikaru, your words are powerful," she said again, "I don't know how well I can trust you considering we just now met.." she sighed, then continued, "I accept your request. Not because you have used my weakness against me, but because I.." She looked down lower and more mumbled, "I really would like a friend or two.."

[Moongem]

He was now standing across from her, a gentle smile on his face. He stepped onto the water and began walking towards her, "You misunderstand me, if you believe me to be trying to use your weakness against you. I simply wanted to show that you weren't alone." He reached the other side of the river and looked towards her, offering her his hand, "Consider me, Uchiha Onikaru, your first friend." He said with a smile.

[Rinko]

Ryuu recoiled slightly as he walked towards her over the water. When he offered her his hand, she was at first speechless. Running briefly crossed her mind; but that would only prove his point. She had run enough, and was tired. Hesitantly, she placed her small, bloodied hand in his, trying to resist a shudder. This person surely unnerved her, but now that he was an ally, she minded it less.

[Moongem]

His smile changed to a grin and he sat next to her, he was surprised that his blindness had affected him so little. Onikaru looked towards the water, "You'll never be alone again, my dear Ryuu." He said in a comforting tone.

Suddenly, a group of men stepped from the forest behind them and on the other side of the river. The ones on the other side of the river pointed at the onyx haired Onikaru. "Y-you! You and that pasty bastard forced us from our homes! Killed our loved ones and then claimed our homes as your own!" He unsheathed a katanna, "You'll die you, raven haired freak!" They shouted at Onikaru.

[Rinko]

Ryuu blushed and turned her head away from Onikaru, only to see the men as they emerge and shout their accusations. Ryuu hops up, instinct getting the best of her, already twirling her weapon in her hand. "Damn!" she thought, "Why did I do that?!" Yet, she stared down the men who intended on harming her newly made friend. Her blade sung in the wind as she twirled it without hesitation, building its momentum.

[Moongem]

He felt how defensively she reacted to those who intended to do him harm. He stood slowly, "Don't worry dear." He said kindly, "These people are worms, they don't understand us." Onikaru watched her, not interested about the village remnants. "I can tell Ryuu-chan, your tired. Don't let these things worry you, let me show you a benefit of having a friend to watch out for you. Of course, your free to do as you so wish."

The villagers realize that the girl had not been a member of Onikaru;s group when he attacked them, "Girl! Get away from him! He's dangerous! He attacked our village! Killed our people, he didn't even discriminate against women or children! He killed by daughter in front of me, I think he purposely let me live, so I could remember the pain. He's not human either! He took on a snake like form when he killed our leader! Come with us! We'll make sure your taken home." They extend their hands towards Ryuu.

Onikaru watches her, curious about her next move.

[Rinko]

"Oh, you mistaken me," she said in a cold voice, "Home is the last place I want to go." Without hesitation, Ryuu flicked her wrist, sending the singing blade into the man who spoke's skull, purposely giving him a quick, painless death so he may greet his family quickly. She pulled back her blade in one fluid motion and began to twirl it again, waiting to take down any who opposed her.

[Moongem]

A grin of success spanned Onikaru's face, "Well, Well! Ryuui! I misjudged you!" He said as the whip withdrew from the mans head and he fell to the ground. Onikaru lifted his hand and his demonic scythe appeared in his hands. "Now, foolish peasants." Onikaru said almost sympathetically, "Must you waste more of my time? Why do you all wish to die prematurely?" He swung the scythe in front of him.

"Konmaru!" One of the villagers shouted as Ryuu killed him, "She's one of THEM!" one says, the rest pulling out weapons.

[Rinko]

She arced her arm over her head, causing the chain to become embedded into another man's skull. Quickly, she withdrew her chain, and swung again, this time breaking two men's weaker weapons. She brought the whip to her side and began to twirl it faster. "I can take you all out from where I stand presently. Your meager weapons are nothing compared to what lies before you. If you were wise, you would leave this area at once. If you wish to fall like your brothers before you, by all means, please come at me." A tiny smile crossed her face as her cold grey eyes focused on the villagers.

[Moongem]

One of the villagers from across the river had swam silently to Ryuu and silently pulled himself out and cut at Ryuu, unfortunately, because of the loss of vision, Onikaru's hearing had increased and his scythe fell on the man's forearm, removing it from his body. "I think not my sneaky little friend." He said the man screamed in pain and fell back towards the river. Before he could, Onikaru's scythe exited the opposite side of his chest, holding him above the water. He looked up at Ryuu, "No harm shall come to my new found friend unless she asks you bluntly, to cut her."

Some of the villagers began to run away, the braver ones holding their ground.

[Rinko]

Ryuu looks at Onikaru, relived. She then says to the remaining men, "You presence here isn't bravery, it is sheer stupidity. Join your brothers and choose life. Or must I take it from your clutching hands?" Ryuu steps forward, her blade now a blur. She lunges her arm forward, hitting a man in the chest. She withdraws, bring the blade back into motion.

[Moongem]

Onikaru smiled, as purple chakra began to circle him, "Maybe this will scare you off!" his skin begins to turn white as paper and three chakra like tails morph behind him. His voice now doubled over, "Remember this!?" he asks as the purple chakra detaches from him and morphs around three men. When the chakra subsides the men are one the ground screaming in pain, "Poisoning one's cellular system can be quite painful...." He says.

More run, two maybe three remained.

[Rinko]

Ryuu stared blankly for a moment at Onikaru's chakra tails, which gave one of the villagers enough time to charger her, however he tripped, and his blade only managed to cut deeply into Ryuu's calf. She shrieked in pain and immediately swung her blade at the man, hitting him in the back of his neck. He spasmed for a while, but eventually lie still. Ryuu dropped to one knee, struggling to keep her blade spinning; it kepy nicking the ground.

[Moongem]

Onikaru's chakra tails subsided and he looked around at the last man, "Your life ends now." The man turned quickly and he ran, but it was to late, by the time he had turned Onikaru had completed a set of handsigns and blew towards the ground. The ground around him heated as a large ball of blaze rose from the ground, burning the man badly and paralyzing him. Onikaru snickered, "Hold still. I'll end it after I look after my friend." He turns and knells next to Ryuu, a roll of bandage in his hand. He looked at her, "Would you like my help?"

[Rinko]

Knowing that there was now no sign of threats, Ryuu lied down, bleeding heavily. "Yes, I would like some help..." She let her head thump on the ground as she stared at the sky, relaying the bloody scene before them. Had she really taken at least three mens' lives so mercilessly? She sighed, now feeling the extent of her exhaustion. She closed her eyes for a moment, then looked at Onikaru. "Did all of this really just happen? Is this not a dream?"

[Moongem]

He applies pressure on the wound and begins to wrap the wound in medical wrapping. "I'm going to put you to sleep Ryuu-chan. And when you wake up you will surrounded by friends. Except maybe Minzuri... she can be Bitchy..... anyway, Hebimaru-sama, and Shiro-san, will be glad to see a new nakama."

[Rinko]

Ryuu stares at Onikaru a little unsettled. "Asleep?.. But I.." She trails off and stares at the wound in her leg as Onikaru wraps it. Its so deep! Ryuu watched the blood seep out despite the added pressure. "That's my blood..." she thought to herself with a shudder. Her pale complexion turned white, and with a thump, she was on the ground, out cold.

[Moongem]

He finished wrapping the wound, "You'll be fine....now." He picks her up, "You have friends now. Don't worry." He walks towards the Poison Village.
